Before you start tear down
Because your Ryobi Saw may have had modifications when it was built.
Or someone before you could have changed a part.
Here is a few back up tips.
First of all take pictures and notes, they can be your back up.
When possible mark parts in an area that will help identify how they line up.
A tiny dot of White Out works well.

If you have read the post to here you are about ready to begin.
Getting ready
Most important of all
Remove and Store fuel in a safe gas container.
Have all new parts / hoses etc.
Tools
you will need T20 torx bit /
10mm socket and ratchet
Thin strong string
Needle nose pliers.
The saw must be cleaned before starting the job.
Because you have to avoid getting dirt in fuel tank or fuel lines.

Start here, remove air filter cover shown.
Turn nut to the left (anticlockwise.)
Next remove air filter by turn nut to left (counterclockwise).
Now you are ready to pull spark plug wire off of plug only.
Once wire is off, remove the spark plug. Turn left (counterclockwise).
As can be seen remove idle screw cover by tilting front up and pull out.
Now raise choke lever up and back from knob end.
It is unnecessary to remove or disconnect lever.
The plastic top cover, covering the head has
4 T20 Torx screws that need to be removed.

As can be seen you only have one screw in this photo to remove
that’s the one in the white circle.
Once you have removed top cover, remove rubber dust shield.

Primer Ball Explained.
This photo will help you figure out where the hoses go.
Because if you zoom in you can see the hose connection points
are different. It also shows the release clip so you can pull it out
to remove hoses/lines.

Primer ball has a locking/release tab.
You can see in the picture the locking tab is opposite of the small tube.
Small tube goes up on install .
Study locking tab on Primer Ball for its location.
Gently pushing the tab should release the Primer ball.
Pull off fuel lines.
Remove fuel lines from carburetor.
Pull the fuel line off and pull fuel lines out of tank.

With the tank empty and hoses removed you are ready to start.

Ryobi Saw Fuel Lines, instructions will make it as easy as possible.
Try not to jump a head, there are some tips that can make it easier for you.
Thin strong string is a big help in installation.
I don’t recommend wire it can kink and get stuck,
You are going to feed the string from the top down into the tank and out
the fuel cap opening
Only install one string then the fuel line at a time, that way you won’t mix them up.
I recommend the hole on the right first (looking from the rear).
My reason is the one on the left can get in the way if done first.
Be sure to pull new fuel line out of tank about 6-8 inches.
Most importantly, do not cut lines until you measure enough fuel line
to reach its connection point on top side of tank.
Preparing the fuel lines
Look at the next photo.
Cut fuel line end going into the tank like in the picture.
Installing over flow fuel line.
Here is the clever part.
Feed the string all the way through the fuel line
Tie a washer or nut on the top end of the string.
Make sure it is large enough that it can’t pull into the hose.
Coat the cut end of the hose with
a very thin coat of the same oil you mix in your gas.
At the top of the tank on right side looking from the rear.
Start the fuel line in the hole by hand.
Guide fuel line with one hand and pull on string coming out of fuel cap
opening with the other.
Feed the fuel line three inches into tank and stop.
Cut the washer or nut off and pull out the string. the top end of the hose cut to length
to fit on the long tube on the primer ball.
Doing the left side Fuel Line the smart way
Now you are ready to do the left side.
Cut the fuel line as in the photo.
Looking from the rear, feed the string trough the top left hole.
Pull it out of tank through the gas cap hole.
Pull enough string out to feed through the fuel filter lines length.
After the string is through the fuel line tie a washer at the end of string coming out of fuel line.
Coat fuel line with oil.
How to feed Fuel Line into tank and up
Again, you will use one hand to feed and one hand to pull.
This part is a little tricky. The benefit is worth the effort.
With the thin pointed part of the cut end facing up.
Pull on string holding tension on fuel line, slowly feed into tank.
Try not to let fuel line twist over.
The reason for this, is the thin end will start in the hole quicker.
Feed Fuel Line out of top with enough to reach left front of carburetor.
DO NOT JUST PUSH FUEL FILTER INTO TANK
Many videos say just push fuel filter into the tank.
There is a place in the tank to hold the filter. (See next photo)
Attach fuel filter to Fuel Line install in holder in tank.
Hose connections
Looking from the rear, Primer ball short tube hose connects on left front bottom of carburetor.
Pumping Primer ball creates a suction on the left side of the carburetor which pulls gas
from the filter in the tank into the right side of the carburetor.
The hose on the long tube of the Primer ball discharges overflow fuel back into the tank.
That’s the first Fuel Line you ran.
Connect it to the longer tube on the Primer Ball.
